Dr. Michelle Lo
Michelle completed her undergraduate education at McMaster University in Kinesiology before continuing her clinical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She completed her internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, with additional focus on pediatric care, and later pursued international clinical training at the Chinese Medical Hospital in Guangzhou, China, where she deepened her experience in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She further expanded her training at Tyndale University, where she completed a Master of Divinity with a counselling focus. This diverse background allows Michelle to bring a uniquely integrative perspective to her work, drawing from both medical and therapeutic frameworks to support the whole person.
Michelle is an EFT-certified couples therapist and works with both individuals and couples navigating trauma, emotional patterns, and relationship challenges. Her approach is collaborative and grounded in meaning-making—helping clients understand the deeper roots of their struggles while building practical pathways toward change.
She has always found humans fascinating, how they think, how they relate to one another, and how this impacts their bodies. Her deep and varied background allows her to listen with openness and empathy and strengthens her ability to offer new and unexpected insight.
She has a particular interest in working with high-functioning individuals who feel stuck beneath the surface, as well as clients seeking to thoughtfully integrate their faith with their emotional and mental health. Michelle also offers support to couples who are committed to their relationship but find themselves caught in cycles of disconnection or conflict.
She takes a special interest in health education and public speaking. She has been invited to a number of speaking engagements at the Town of Markham, Health Fairs, and Corporate events. She is a certified member of the Board of Director of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy (BDDT-N).
